About Energy Point Consulting

We were the people doing
the work before we were
the people called in to help.

Energy Point started in 2021, after Donna King spent 15 years leading land and accounting for publicly traded and privately held companies. The pattern was hard to miss. A firm would come in with a clean plan, hand over a binder, and leave before go-live, which is when the real work starts. The people left holding it had not been in the room when the decisions got made.

So we built the firm around the opposite idea. Senior people who have done the work stay on the work, from scoping through the weeks after a system goes live. We say what we think the problem actually is, even when it is not the easy thing to say. And we plan for adoption from day one, because a plan no one follows is not a plan.

The firm grew the way the work did. The land, lease, and accounting practice that started it still funds and grounds us. As clients asked for help with the bigger changes around that work (system implementations, operating model change, AI adoption), we built a transformation practice on the same principle: the plan is rarely the problem. Execution and adoption are. Today Energy Point works with 60+ organizations, from large publicly traded companies to small and mid-sized companies.

What that means for you is simple. The senior person you meet is the senior person who does the work. The change is built to hold after we leave. And when the work runs into resistance, which it always does, you have a team that has sat on your side of the table and knows what that resistance actually is.
